We our honored to have you be a part of this wonderful celebration in congratulating and honoring our new graduates. We welcome you to Lamar University. We know, without a doubt, the help and support from family and friends makes a big difference in our students academic journey to receiving a diploma.

Venue doors open and guest seating begins one hour prior to the start of the ceremony. Should another ceremony still be underway, guests are asked to wait until that group has departed to find their seats. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Large groups may want to arrive earlier to find seats together. Graduation ceremony locations are ADA compliant. Reserved seating for wheelchair/mobility/visually impaired patrons is available.
Tickets are not required for guest admissions.
Parking & Special Accommodations

- College of Fine Arts and Communications
Please plan for three to four hours for the following colleges:
- College of Arts and Sciences
- College of Education and Human Development
Although guests may leave the viewing area at anytime, we request that graduating students and their guests respect ther other graduates by staying during the entire ceremony. Graduating students leaving the ceremony early will have their diploma(s) mailed to them the Monday following the commencement ceremony.

- Noisemakers (air horns, fireworks, whistles)
- Flags or banners
- Selfie sticks
Any other items that will hinder the ceremony for others are prohibited. If you are disrubtive, you will be escorted out of the Montagne Center.
