It is your responsibility to make sure your registration is paid and completed by the due date. You must be half-paid or have a loan document on file with the Cashier Office by 5:00 P.M. on the due date to avoid having your classes dropped for non-payment. Due dates for the terms are 2 working days prior to the first class day of the term.
Academic Partnership Online Program students should access the Academic Partnership Calendar of Critical Dates for accurate information regarding payment and drop dates.

Available for Fall and Spring semesters only.
The balance due for tuition and fees is divided into three payments. A down payment of one-half is due on payment day (noted on the academic calendar). Once the down payment is made, the student will not be dropped for non-payment. The remaining balance is divided into two equal payments due in 30 and 60 days.
Academic Partnership Online Program students may request installment plans via email:
A student waiting on financial aid, or unable to pay all of the down payment required for the installment plan, may fill out an Emergency Loan. This short term loan divides the tuition and fees into two equal installments due 30 and 60 days after the first class day. Once the Emergency Loan is applied, the student will not be dropped from classes for non-payment, and will be responsible for the full amount of tuition and fees for that semester. (Students owing past due balances are not eligible for this loan.)
Academic Partnership Online Program students: ONLY students in eight-week programs are eligible for an Emergency Loan. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
A student who chooses either payment plan will be charged an installment service fee of $20.00.
A late payment fee of $15.00 will be assessed if payments are received later than 10 days after the due dates. Late payment may also result in holds being placed on your record.
If a student waiting on financial aid will have residual funds when all aid is been applied, the student may go to the Cashier Office and request a book voucher. If approved, the voucher will allow the student to purchase books at the bookstore located inside the Setzer Center. The cost of books will be charged to the student's account and paid when the aid is posted. Any residual funds will be refunded to the student's Cardinal One Card.
Academic Partnership Online Program students do not receive book vouchers.
Information on Drop/Withdrawals
Rates for refunds for dropped courses or withdrawals vary depending on the academic calendar. Refer to the drop/withdrawal refund policy for more information.
Delinquent obligations to the university will be sent to a collection agency and reported to credit bureaus. All costs of collections are paid by the student, which is generally an additional 25 percent of the student's obligations to the university. Delinquent accounts must be paid at the collection agency. Payment cannot be accepted by Lamar University if the account has been forwarded to a collection agency.
