Annual Show

The Lamar University Dance Team presents an annual spring show that offers the widest variety of dance styles. Held in the University Theater, this exciting show is one of the most anticipated tickets in town. The directors, team, and guest choreographers create an artistically exhilarating two-act show that teaches each dancer to become a well-rounded performer.

Dates: Friday, May 3 & Saturday, May 4, 2024
Time: Doors open at 6 pm. Show starts at 7 pm.
Location: University Theatre at Lamar University

Auditions have concluded for the 2024-2025 LU Dance Team. Congratulations to all our new recruits!

Interested in trying out for the 2025-2026 Team? Here are the skills we're looking for:

Video Requirements
Dancers must submit a 60-second solo in either a jazz, lyrical, or contemporary style, including these specific technical skills:

• Battements 
• Extensions/Leg Holds
• Double and Triple Pirouettes
• A La Seconde Turns
• Right and Left Jete
• Leap in Second
• Calypso & Firebird
